I donated this Fresh Water Pearl Coin & Swarovski Crystal

Necklace and Earring Set to the auction - benefiting WINGS -

BJC Pediatric Care and Hospice Program.

Each Fresh Water Pearl and Swarovski Crystal is wrapped in

Sterling Silver Wire. Sterling Silver Flower Togge Clasp can be

worn in front or back. Earrings are made from Fresh Water Pearls

and Swarovski Crystal with Sterling Silver Leverback Ear wires.

in a triple strand design accented by Sterling Silver Chain and

a Sterling Silver link offset to one side. Fresh Water Pearl

Earrings match this design and have Sterling Silver Leverback

Ear Wires.

This necklace elegantly combines solid copper beads and Fresh

Water Pearl Coins. TierraCast findings complete this three strand

design. “I pulled my Rings & Things inventory and let my imagination

take over. Yes, there were challenges along the way—this is the

third designI created. This first two were disassembled because

they weren't quite right. I really enjoy incorporating copper into

my designs along with, or instead of, silver and gold. 'Pearls That Swim'features copper and silver accents and the shimmer of the

Fresh Water Pearls, along with the 'water' of the Amazonite."

Designed For A Friend!

Tangerine Turquoise, Red Jasper & Copper Links Necklace.

This is a custom design. A friend of mine purchased the gemstone

beads and wanted me to make something for her using copper.

She purchased the Tangerine Turquoise, which I ove, along with

the RedJasper. I added Autumn Turquoise and a variety of Copper

wire wrapped links. This is very versatile as it can be worn three

ways for different look - long with toggle in front, long with toggle

in back, or doubled for a layered look.

Ruby Crazy Lace and Copper. This design can be worn

with toggle in the front so the "Pendant" design hangs

down. Or, turn it around so the toggle is in the back

for a different look.

Here we have White Turquoise Nuggets with Mica Quartz

Wavy cut disc gemstones. A Sterling Silver Chain and

Toggle Clasp finish this design. I created a wrap-around

Bracelet to match!

Ronald McDonald House Charity Event, 2009

Dark Red Garnet, Triple Strand Necklace. This Necklace

and Earring Set was donated for auction at the 2009 Ronald

McDonald House, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" Event. The

Necklace is designed with lots of Garnet, Sterling Beads and

Sterling Chain. I used various cuts of Garnet and added a

touch of Tourmaline! _________________________________________________

    "A friend came to my studio to design a necklace that she
     envisioned. While I was helping her design her piece, I was
     inspired to create a 'layered' necklace using pearls, gemstones
     and lots of chain. I had just received my Rings & Things order
     a few days before and most of the components of this design
     were laying out. They coordinated beautifully as they lay there
     and I wanted to find a way to bring them together. I had so
     much fun making this design. It is a bit challenging to determine
     how much chain to use and what length to use so it lays
     just right.

     "There were several modifications along the way until the
     composition was just right. The shimmering colors of larvikite,
     crystal pearls and faceted ocean jasper blend perfectly with
     lots of gunmetal chain. The tiny gunmetal heishi spacers give
     just the right amount of separation to make these beautiful
     beads get noticed. Now I am inspired to create a similar design
     using sterling silver chain, antique brass or antique copper
     chain and compatible gemstones! Thank you Rings & Things ---
     your products ROCK!"
